Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for our client Covington, Louisiana. This short-term contract to full time position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic import/export company by supporting key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in managing financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoice processing and payments
- Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail
- Assist in preparing and posting journal entries to support monthly and annual reporting cycles
- Handle billing tasks, ensuring invoices are processed and sent to clients in a timely manner
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize financial information
- Support general ledger maintenance to ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting procedures Requirements
