Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Hammond, Louisiana. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational skills and a passion for numbers to contribute to essential financial processes. The role involves handling various accounting tasks, including reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and billing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial records.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment scheduling.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, such as tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
• Input financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.
• Process invoices efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial information.
• Collaborate with team members to address financial inquiries and provide solutions.
• Maintain organized records to support audits and reporting requirements. Requirements
• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial record maintenance.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in billing operations and invoice processing.
• Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Competence in using Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
• Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
