Accounts Payable Clerk Position Available In Essex, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Wakefield, Massachusetts. In this position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and be committed to contributing to the success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Manage check runs and prepare payments in a timely manner.
• Record and reconcile accruals to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing necessary reports.
• Monitor accounts payable to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for auditing purposes.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in processing invoices and managing check runs.
• Familiarity with accruals and month-end closing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal teams.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant software tools.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
