The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of debits and credits, general ledger accounting, and familiarity with various accounting software systems. Responsibilities Process and manage all accounts payable transactions in a timely manner. Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Assist in month-end closing activities by ensuring all payables are recorded accurately. Maintain the general ledger accounting system and ensure proper documentation of all transactions. Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate benefits administration as needed. Utilize accounting software such as ADP, Kronos, Quicken, Workday, or other relevant systems for efficient processing. Support governmental accounting requirements where applicable. Requirements Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices. Proficiency in using accounting software (experience with Structured is preferred). Familiarity with general ledger accounting and the ability to perform debits and credits accurately. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
