Position Title:

AP Testing Coordinator

FLSA:

Reports to:

Lexington High School Principal Terms of Employment:

Administrative Staff•10 month position + 20 flexibly scheduled days in the summer. Class B according to the LEA Unit D collective bargaining agreement. 37.5 hours per week.

Salary Range:

$31.13•$38.88 per hour.
Can start extra days prior to August 25, 2025.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage and coordinate all SSD Accommodations for testing and meet deadlines to ensure paperwork is processed for students with accomodations.
Oversee exam administration for all AP Testing including sign up, ordering and invoice payment
Communicates with teachers and administrators regarding AP schedule, testing sites, etc. for the purpose of sharing pertinent information.
Field high volume of emails and questions from students, staff & parents Manage AP registration payment and sign up through the Total Registration system Meet College Board and LHS school deadlines for testing sign ups
Ensure teachers have submitted proper and timely audit information for their AP classes
Update AP website with testing dates and regulation changes. Maintain the website throughout the school year.
Set-up schedule and calendar of AP dates
Hire and manage a small staff during testing weeks of proctors and office help. Coordinate room relocations for AP tests with AP and Master Scheduler
Process completed W9s and timesheets for proctors and office help
Mail exams back to the College Board according to their timeline.
Assist in tracking and reporting information for Koplik certificate, working with students to inform of requirements and submitting data to DESE
Assist in LHS Scholarship program
Coordinating LHS Junior book awards program All other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent and 1•3 years of experience in administrative, clerical, financial or secretarial work, preferably in a school environment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience. An individual cannot be the AP Coordinator in the year in which an immediate family or household members may be taking an AP Exam at the school where the individual works or at any other school. Coordinators have access to all AP Exams, which presents a conflict of interest.
Must have knowledge of department regulations, policies, programs and operations; and knowledge of office management principles and practices, and computer systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Proficiency in Google Suite strongly preferred.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with the public, officials and department personnel; ability to work independently in an efficient manner; ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form; ability to establish and maintain a record keeping systems; ability to operate a telephone and standard office equipment; ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner; ability to deal tactfully with disgruntled people. Ability to adhere to confidentiality requirements.
Skill in operating computers and applicable word processing and statistical applications; excellent customer service skills. Must have strong record keeping, bookkeeping, secretarial, organization, communication and customer service skills. Must have strong attention to detail. Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
