The AP/AR Specialist is responsible for processing cash receipts, credit memos, AP invoices, and ACH and check payments to vendors. This role also maintains reconciliations and supporting documentation associated with AP/AR processes. Additional responsibilities include customer past-due collections, and other duties as assigned. You will be working in Mechanic Falls, Maine.
Schedule:
Monday -Friday days, Fulltime
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process invoices and vendor payments, obtaining necessary approvals.
Reconcile vendor statements and AP aging, verifying accounts and transactions.
Monitor AR and AP email inboxes and respond appropriately.
Investigate documentation, issue stop payments and make adjustments to resolve account discrepancies.
Ensure timely payments and follow up on outstanding payments with customers and suppliers.
Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries promptly.
Reconcile bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
Audit financial transactions and substantiate them with proper documentation.
Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and assessing account information.
Summarize financial status through analysis of financial information.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Contribute to department goal setting and provide input on departmental objectives.
Research and resolve account discrepancies as they arise.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
1 to 3 years of financial and accounting experience required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with corporate reporting preferred but not required.
Skills and Proficiencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Effective written and oralmunication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards.

Pay Details:
$22.00 to $29.00 per hour
