Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Cumberland, Maine

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Portland, Maine. If you have experience in reconciling vendor statements, verifying invoice records, and maintaining proper filing systems, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Organize accounts payable files, ensuring all statements and unpaid invoices are correctly sorted and categorized.
• Remove incorrect documents, such as pick tickets or internal purchase orders, from unpaid invoice folders.
• Reconcile vendor statements for June and July, verifying all transactions and balances.
• Post accounts payable invoices accurately, prioritizing organization and reconciliation tasks as needed.
• Audit unpaid AP folders to confirm that all documents correspond to open and unpaid invoices in QuickBooks.
• Ensure the accounts payable filing system is streamlined and free of duplicate or unnecessary records.
• Collaborate with the finance team to maintain compliance with internal accounting standards. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice posting and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed filing systems.
• Ability to reconcile credit card and bank statements accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience working in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
