Job Description

Bookkeeper at Robert Half in Boothbay, Maine, United States Job Description Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper located in Boothbay, Maine. In this role, you will be expected to manage financial records and transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll through Quickbooks.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Reconciliation of account discrepancies.
  • Management of both accounts payable and receivable.
  • Execution of bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Administering payroll duties for approximately 20 employees.
  • Utilizing QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial management tasks.
  • Carrying out data entry tasks and maintaining accuracy in records.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks.
  • Facilitating month-end close processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and procedures. Requirements
  • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices, expenses and payments in a timely manner.
  • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Data Entry, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded.
  • Knowledge of Payroll processing, including wage calculation, tax deductions and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
