Bookkeeper at Robert Half in Boothbay, Maine, United States Job Description Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper located in Boothbay, Maine. In this role, you will be expected to manage financial records and transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll through Quickbooks.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Reconciliation of account discrepancies.
- Management of both accounts payable and receivable.
- Execution of bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Administering payroll duties for approximately 20 employees.
- Utilizing QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial management tasks.
- Carrying out data entry tasks and maintaining accuracy in records.
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks.
- Facilitating month-end close processes.
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and procedures. Requirements
- Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices, expenses and payments in a timely manner.
- Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in Data Entry, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded.
- Knowledge of Payroll processing, including wage calculation, tax deductions and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
