City Hall Payroll & Accounting Specialist
The City of Bangor is searching for a qualified candidate for the position of Payroll and Accounting Specialist in its Finance Department. The Payroll and Accounting Specialist is responsible for preparing and maintaining City payroll and is responsible for accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations. This position is critical in understanding, applying, and interpreting pay-related laws to ensure the City remains in compliance. Communication with departmental personnel on a regular basis to provide guidance and assistance will be a major responsibility. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) non-exempt position, with a comprehensive benefits package.
