Accounts Payable Clerk Position Available In York, Maine

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Kennebunk, Maine. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage check runs, including preparing and distributing payments on time.
• Enter data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.
• Handle invoice processing to ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and analyzing financial information.
• Support the transition from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct, ensuring seamless integration.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and invoice processing.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and team members.
