Position Title:
Finance Assistant
Minimum Qualifications/ Skills Required:
General high school diploma or equivalent with a demonstrated attention to detail. Experience or training in the use of computers, calculators, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Prior finance experience with a comprehensive knowledge of accounting/ bookkeeping basic principles.

Essential Job Duties:
Process invoices for payment to vendors. Check invoices for accuracy against purchase orders, resolve discrepancies and enter data into the system.
Process reimbursement requests. Check for accuracy, resolve, enter data into system process checks and ACH.
Process purchase orders and verify accuracy; fax, email, or send pick-up slips to the appropriate building secretary.
Reserve and process all credit cards. Reconcile monthly credit care statements to all purchase orders and invoices.
Create new vendors in the system and obtain all needed information including the W-9.
Generate monthly board reports.
Assists and reviews all foodservice invoice entries.
Track outstanding checks, void, and reissue as needed.
Process payment information of r1099s.
Transport deposits to the bank and distribute the deposit information to appropriate deposits.
Answer phone, mail, email, and walk-in inquires; research questions; provide information.
Analyze/review vendor statements for accuracy and check credit balances, process credits or request refunds on credit balances.
Prepare weekly manual checks and ACH.
Assist with general office work when requested and needed.
Other Job Responsibilities:
Other job dues as assigned. This does not preclude the assignment of additional or supplement duties. The district reserves the right to modify the assignment as needed to reflect such duties.
Essential physical and mental demands:
Duties performed typically in district settings include the cafeteria, gym, recreational areas, and other assigned areas.
Physical demands can include but are not limited to Exerts up to 40lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly to move objects including items such as shipping packages.
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and other limited physical activities are requested.
Mental demands can include but are not limited to: Comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing.
