We’re seeking an Accounting Specialist with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of general bookkeeping knowledge to join our accounting team.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in the accurate and timely processing of invoices and preparation of monthly draw packets to clients and investors. In our open-book billing environment, this position requires close coordination with project managers and subcontractors to ensure costs are properly allocated, documented, and presented to clients with full transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices and validate against purchase orders and budgets Gain strong knowledge of cost codes and construction billing practices Prepare detailed draw request packages to send to clients Assist in the preparation and collection of lien waivers Resolve invoice discrepancies directly with project managers and subcontractors Maintain accurate and organized digital records for audits and client reviews Coordinate with the team lead to support draw cycle close

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role Proficiency in accounting software, basic knowledge of QuickBooks online preferred High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Meet strict billing timelines Ability to work independently while consistently supporting the team as a whole Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude Understanding of open-book construction billing and cost codes preferred, but not required
