NOW HIRING – IN-PERSON BOOKKEEPER

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented bookkeeper / accounting service to work on-site at our Independence, MO location.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience in:
• Payroll processing (timecards, overtime, travel pay)
• Accounts Receivable & Payable
• ACH & Bill Pay
• Vendor Management
• Process bi-weekly payroll for shop and admin teams (includes overtime & travel pay)
• Track owner equity, draws, reimbursements, and multi-owner splits
• Reconcile credit card accounts monthly
• Record monthly rent and home office reimbursements
• Assist with year-end tax prep and work with our CPA for smooth filings
• Manage vendor payments, ACH processing, and employee reimbursements
• Prepare and file payroll tax returns:
• Federal Forms 941 (quarterly) and 940 (annual)
• Missouri Withholding and Unemployment (MODES/MO-941)
• Ensure timely payroll tax deposits (semi-weekly schedule)
• Prepare W-2s and 1099s at year-end
• Maintain audit-ready payroll and tax records
• Coordinate with our payroll software and CPA to ensure compliance ???? In-person only – no remote work ???? Pay based on experience We’re looking for someone reliable who takes ownership and helps keep our business running smoothly.
