Bookkeeper 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 2312 Centerline Industrial Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146 Champion Floor Co., an award-winning, family-owned business established in 1989, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting, payroll, and financial operations. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, handling payroll, managing insurance documentation, and preparing commission checks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, trustworthy, and experienced in both bookkeeping and administrative financial support.

Key Responsibilities:

Record and categorize daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) Reconcile bank and credit card statements Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Process weekly payroll, including time tracking, deductions, and direct deposits Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Prepare and issue commission checks based on sales reports and schedules Handle insurance documentation, including obtaining bids and managing claims File and remit payroll taxes and other required withholdings Prepare and distribute W-2s, 1099s, and other required tax documents Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external accountants as needed Maintain well-organized financial, payroll, and insurance records Ensure compliance with all applicable financial and labor regulations

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper with payroll responsibilities Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (QuickBooks and payroll platforms preferred) Strong understanding of accounting and payroll regulations High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Strong organizational and time-management skills Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Champion Floor Co. offers a collaborative work environment where your contributions will make a significant impact.
