Description Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking a Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This onsite role offers a flexible schedule, full benefits upon hire, and a long transition period with the retiring bookkeeper.
Job Description:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting tasks, including: Preparing month-end reports and submitting them to the CPA firm.
Accounts Payable:
Processing emailed invoices, matching them with job order forms, handling electronic and mailed payments.
Accounts Receivable:
Billing, collecting, and posting cash. Processing payroll through ADP. Tracking sales commissions.
Software:
Sage 50 (Peachtree)
Basic Excel Requirements:
10+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience. Strong understanding of AP, AR, and general accounting principles. High attention to detail and accuracy. Reliable and professional demeanor. Friendly personality with a stable career mindset (not looking to climb the corporate ladder).

Work Hours:
Flexible 8-hour shifts between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
Compensation:
DOE Benefits Upon Hire:
Full health coverage for the employee, optional spouse/family coverage, 401K with 3% match, and 2 weeks of PTO after the first year.
Work Arrangement:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficient in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Sage 50 software and basic Microsoft Excel functions.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Dependable work ethic with a team-oriented attitude.
- Friendly and approachable personality with a stable career mindset.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
