Summary:

As a junior role in the department, this job is a PERFECT fit for a new Finance Professional! Are you excited about the idea of a fast-paced job in a calm, peaceful work environment? If so, we are looking for you! The finance clerk is accountable for completing all aspects of accounts payable and receivables daily. A vital part of this role in ensuring daily tasks are achieved accurately and efficiently. Both weekly and monthly deadlines for both accounts payable and receivable must be met to achieve the finance team goals.

Responsibilities:

Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes Runs month reports as required Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies Assembles data and prepares records and reports as requested Handles accounts payable, checks and distribution of prepared checks to vendors Answer telephone, provides information, performs miscellaneous typing, sorts and delivers mail Maintains files for financial documents Follows standardized procedure’s to perform clerical activities Ensure compliance with company policies All other related tasks as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Understands the vision and values of Sacred Heart Southern Missions with a commitment to achieving the organization’s goals Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration/Mgmt Demonstrates knowledge and skills in basic finance office operations Proficient in using accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar systems Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communications and decision making skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision/instruction Able to accept instructions and follow through with appropriate action Able to establish and rearrange priorities to meet deadlines promptly and professionally Able to approach people of all professional and religious levels in a manner which promotes harmony and cooperation Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefits package.
