Daily & weekly- .Verify accuracy of daily postings in the accounting records and books by monitoring as prescribed in the company’s accounting policy manual .Maintain Stockholder and Membership Records .Maintain reconciliation of Stockholder and Membership Records to General Ledger .Monitor compliance with Policy & Procedures manual .Maintain club’s website. .Maintain software and and ensure maintenance of equipment Monthly closing of books- .Reconcile bank accounts .Reconcile
A/R & A/P
Subsidiaries to GL Control Accounts .Reconcile multiple additional balance sheet accounts .Verify accuracy of Inventory counts and extensions .Various account analysis such as budget performance, cost of sales results to expectations .Prepare and file Sales Tax Forms .Verify that all payroll taxes have been paid .Complete all necessary journal entries to close books .Provide the external accountant with all information for preparation of monthly financial statements .Maintain ledger of information required for annual tax return (non-member transactions) Other- May be requested to prepare and file quarterly payroll reports, annual payroll reports, W2 forms, 1099 Forms. Complete various internal auditing functions as directed by the external accountant.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as a solid understanding of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
