0 3.0 out of 5 stars Graham, NC 27253 JOB The Accounts Payable Finance Technician, under general supervision, typically performs clerical and data-entry work in the maintenance of financial records as they relate to accounts payable transactions, records and invoicing. Within this position the employee is responsible for data-entry processing accounts payable transactions, preparing related financial reports, assisting the Finance Manager in daily finance department operations regarding revenue collection and funds disbursement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Provides customer service to internal and external customers via telephone, in person and by email.
Reviews invoices for accuracy, calculation of applicable sales tax, proper supporting documentation with authorized approvals and appropriate coding of expenditures.
Ensure that invoices are processed, coded and recorded properly within the accounting software utilized.
Processes and allocates payments according to vendor specifications.
Processes and allocates transactions related to electronic payments.
Performing data-entry for numerous revenue funds daily deposits as they relate to cash and revenue posted within the General Ledger.
Responsible for emergency check processing as needed.
Maintains vendor files, ensuring organization and accuracy.
Processes automatic/monthly recurring payments ensuring accuracy.
Ensures compliance with IRS guidelines regarding 1099 information and gathering and data entry of vendor data. Processes annual 1099 filing with IRS.Responsible for ensuring departments within the County and vendors doing business with the County area ware of Alamance County accounts payable procedures and processes.
Will be expected to perform other assignments and projects as needed and trained to support the Finance office.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Education & Experience:
Graduation from a high school including or supplemented by basic courses in bookkeeping or accounting and two years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting clerical work in an accounting office; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Completion of a one-year business course in a business school including or supplemented by courses in bookkeeping or accounting may be substituted for the required experience.
Computer Skills:
Prior intermediate level experience with computers, calculators, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
License/Credentials:
Possession of a valid NC driver’s license.
