- Position Overview
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage a portfolio of vendors, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Process and verify invoices accurately, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place.
+ Prepare and execute batch payments (checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments) per payment schedules. + Maintain compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements. + Establish and maintain positive vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and inquiries efficiently. + Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment issues. + Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support month-end closing activities. + Maintain organized records for audits and reporting. + Identify and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency. + Escalate any payment-related issues or delays to relevant stakeholders. + Assist with additional financial and administrative tasks as needed.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- + Previous experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in industrial manufacturing or B2B sectors.
+ Basic understanding of accounting principles. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle vendor disputes professionally. + Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and improving processes. + Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively. + Proficiency in accounting software (JD Edwards experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Pay Details:
