Full Job Description Accounting Specialist Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, versatile, and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ledger accounting, fixed asset management, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable , and will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting efficient accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Track, record, and manage fixed assets , including acquisitions, tagging, insurance, and disposals. Support the Payroll Administrator in processing weekly payroll. Assist with journal entries , account reconciliations , and financial reporting . Prepare and file fuel, property, and sales tax reports in compliance with local and state regulations. Coordinate raw material deliveries to facilities in support of daily production needs. Collaborate with internal departments to improve workflow efficiency and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience across multiple functions (GL, Payroll, AP, AR, etc.). Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required . Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong attention to detail , organizational skills , and communication abilities . Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively , and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with payroll processing and support. Familiarity with fixed asset tracking systems and/or fleet management software . Basic understanding of internal controls and accounting compliance best practices.
