View more categories The Department of Accounting in the Reeves School of Business at Methodist University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Accounting, beginning fall 2025. The successful candidate is expected to be able to teach a wide variety of classes, such as Principles of Financial Accounting, Auditing, and Governmental Accounting. Candidates who are capable of teaching within other disciplines in the School of Business (economics, finance, and/or business computing, in particular) are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Doctorate in Accounting or other business field preferred. Minimum of a Master’s degree or higher in Accounting or a Master’s degree or higher in a business field with 18 graduate hours in Accounting is required. Previous teaching experience is strongly desired. CPA credential is preferred. Candidate must have earned Doctorate/terminal degree to be considered for tenure track hire. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Other responsibilities include mentoring, accreditation requirements, service, and scholarly/professional activity.
