The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in claims submissions, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is essential in facilitating the financial operations of our medical facility, contributing to the overall efficiency of patient care. Responsibilities Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and appeals. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage accounts receivable by following up on outstanding claims and payments. Collaborate with medical staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper coding of services rendered. Assist in the training of new staff on billing procedures and office management systems. Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with patients, insurance representatives, and other healthcare professionals. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT). Experience as a Medical Receptionist Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with medical scheduling software and office management systems. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all billing practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette. Ability to file documents accurately and maintain organized records for easy retrieval.
