Bookkeeper The Parenting

West NW Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 High school degree and at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience. Grant management experience preferred. Non-profit work experience preferred. Must be proficient in QuickBooks.

Duties:
§ Performs all accounting procedures including payables, receivables and payroll. § Creates invoices for grant programs and fundraising events. Receives and posts payments in Quickbooks Desktop. § Assists in tracking individual and corporate donations as well as insurance payments for clinical services and posts in Quickbooks. § Prepares deposits, verified by the Office Manager. § Codes and enters all vendor bills in Quickbooks as provided in the agency budget or approved by the Board of Directors ensuring that all expenses are allocated correctly. § Allocates expenses based on cost accounting procedures. § Weekly prepare vendor disbursement checks for signatures. § Records pay rate changes and paid time off in payroll system. § Prepares bi-weekly payroll and posts by Journal entry. § Maintains personnel records and employee benefit payments. § Maintains spending data and paperwork for grant programs and office expenditures including all staff credit card charges. § Generates reports for grant reporting and grant expense reimbursement. § Assists in preparing budgets for each contract and the entire agency. § Generates monthly financial reports including FSRs for all agency programs, P&Ls and Balance Sheet for Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. § Compiles all paperwork related to Annual audit. § Ensures agency maintains all records required for Single Audit. Conducts preliminary audits of agency programs throughout the year. § Meets all requirements of the State and grantors including individual grant audits. § Prepares budget amendments as needed. § Makes journal entries for payroll items and other items as needed. § Prepares month-end bank reconciliation for all agency accounts and reviews cashflow throughout the month. § Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. § Performs other duties as assigned.
