This position supports the financial operations of the Provost’s Office by managing accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and budget reconciliation. The Accounting Specialist ensures that all financial activities align with institutional policies and regulatory requirements, contributing to the effective and transparent management of academic resources. Primary Function of Organizational Unit The mission of the Office of EHRA (EPA) Salary and Budget Administration is to ensure the timely processing of payroll to our faculty, staff and students while working collaboratively with other units on campus to improve business processes that effect all EHRA employees. Additionally, the office works to provide budgetary, policy, planning and administrative support services to the Provost, deans, academic affairs’ units and other divisions of the university as it relates to salary and operational budgets. It is our mission to maximize the financial and human resources of the university to produce diverse global leaders, support outstanding faculty and the professional development of staff. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate’s degree in Accounting; or Associate’s degree in Business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field with two to three years work experience.
