Greensboro, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Experience with children Bachelor’s degree Human Services 1 year Entry level Full Job Description Day Treatment Assistant (Associate Professional) Day Treatment is a structured treatment service in a licensed facility for children or adolescents and their families that builds on strengths and addresses identified needs. This medically necessary service directly addresses the individual’s diagnostic and clinical needs, which are evidenced by the presence of a diagnosable mental, behavioral, or emotional disturbance (as defined by the DSM-5 or any subsequent editions of this reference material), with symptoms and effects documented in a comprehensive clinical assessment and the PCP. This service is designed to serve children who, as a result of their mental health or substance use disorder treatment needs, are unable to benefit from participation in academic or vocational services at a developmentally appropriate level in a traditional school or work setting.
Position Requirements:
One year experience with children and adolescents with Behavioral and Mental Health diagnosis and Bachelor Degree in human services and No substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the
North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry or Central Registry Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides psychoeducation as indicated in the PCP Assists with crisis interventions Assists the Qualified Professional with behavioral and substance use disorder treatment interventions Assists with the development of relapse prevention and disease management strategies Participates in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the PCP Communicates the individual’s progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions to the Qualified Professional as outlined in the PCP Provides case management Linkage and referral to formal and informal supports Monitoring and follow up Attend Child and Family Treatment meetings Assist with development and updating of Person Centered Plan and Crisis Plan Create educational plan and weekly academic work plans for students Assist Qualified Professional with teaching and implementing daily academic work and skill building treatment plans.
