Job Description

Associate Professional (AP) – Group Home Generation Next Life Mooresville, NC 28115

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Professional (AP) to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to residents within our group home. The AP will work under the supervision of a Qualified Professional (QP) to implement individualized service plans (ISPs), ensure the safety and well-being of residents, and promote a therapeutic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Implementation:

Assist in developing and executing ISPs tailored to each resident’s needs. Monitor and document residents’ progress, reporting any concerns to the QP.

Resident Support:

Provide direct care, including assistance with daily living activities. Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities and social events.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the QP and other team members to ensure cohesive care delivery. Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions.

Compliance and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of services provided and residents’ progress. Ensure adherence to state regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling) or Associate degree with relevant experience in human services.

Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar setting.

Certifications:

Valid CPR and First Aid certification. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and patient demeanor.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks. Exposure to various environmental conditions within the group home setting.
