Accounting Clerk I – Lincoln Correctional Center 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Lincoln County, NC Description of Work This position is located at Lincoln Correctional Center in Lincolnton, NC (Lincoln County). Lincoln Correctional Center is a Minimum Custody Facility that houses Male Offenders. This is para-professional level accounting work in an agency or institution. Positions in this job will verify, code, balance, maintain and report on the manual and automated records relating to fiscal or business data. Work usually involves maintaining single entry journals or records. This candidate will receive and attend training and be required to learn Trust Fund Operations using the IBS Inmate Banking System, inmate welfare accounting, E-Procurement, CNTR005 direct processing forms, and monthly canteen accounting in accordance with the Department of Adult Corrections. This position requires contact with Region, Division, and Departmental staff, and inmate relatives, as well as vendors, transportation companies, and others as needed. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Individual must accurately operate a personal computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and other communication equipment. Individual will complete other accounting duties as necessary. Position may also be required to assist with the Beacon/FIORI payroll system.
