Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves managing various financial tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and handling tenant payments. The role is essential in ensuring smooth communication between departments and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, including indexing and coding transactions using AvidExchange.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, such as scanning tenant payments and posting monthly rent charges.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with property managers to process work orders efficiently.
- Utilize Yardi software for financial reporting and tenant account management.
- Handle billing operations and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and invoices.
- Assist in building dashboards and customizable reports using Yardi and Power BI.
- Support department communication by acting as a liaison between teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in financial software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Familiarity with invoice processing and GL coding.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Knowledge of property management accounting processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.
