Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. SAP experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices by matching, batching, and coding them accurately to the general ledger.
• Handle weekly accounts payable operations, including timely processing and payment of vendor invoices.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments to maintain financial accuracy.
• Perform check processing tasks, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as SAP to manage payable transactions efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve outstanding financial issues.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for audit and reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all payable operations.
• Provide support in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable. Requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, with experience in SAP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting functions.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to handle check processing and manage payable invoices with accuracy.
• Experience identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage weekly accounts payable tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams and vendors.
