Job Description:
The AR Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role within the Accounts Receivable department, responsible for driving results, maintaining billing accuracy, and mentoring a team of AR specialists. This role will serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party vendors, ensuring processes align with performance goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign daily workload to AR team members and monitor task completion Oversee account follow-ups, denial resolution, and billing corrections Train and support new team members while providing ongoing guidance Review and respond to insurance denials; resubmit corrected claims Approve financial adjustments in accordance with company policy Maintain client dashboards and contribute to reporting and insights Ensure compliance with payer regulations and internal processes Follow up to avoid timely filing denials and resolve edit errors Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to management Meet established performance and productivity standards
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or AR management Previous leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of insurance billing, denial management, and compliance Proficiency with billing systems and clearinghouses (Imagine, Availity a plus) Tech-savvy with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable balancing leadership duties with individual AR work
