They will support the AP/AR Specialist in a part-time role with ensuring that all payables data are collected and processed in a timely and confidential manner. The AP assistant will be a friendly face of our accounting team to all our vendors, and as such is expected to communicate in a bright and professional manner emulating the culture and professionalism of Sam’s Xpress. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Invoice entry & routing with proper GL coding in payables software Vendor & user set ups Dispute and discrepancy mitigation Reconciliation of AP Accounts Assist with systems implementations Accurate and confidential collection and maintenance of 1099 information Report & generate 1099s Other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or 1+ year work experience in related field Proven ability to thrive in a team environment Excellent communication and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment. Must be selfmotivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while staying organized. Must be flexible to accommodate changes in business strategies. Must be trustworthy and dependable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Must be able to maintain a flexible parttime schedule three days a week. Typical corporate office hours are Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm.
