Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a non-profit organization in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent position where you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the organization’s accounting needs. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate disbursement to employees.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.
  • Prepare for and assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all entries are complete.
  • Input financial data into accounting systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to generate reports and analyze financial data.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting processes and procedures. Requirements
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle account and bank reconciliations independently.
  • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
