Job Description

Financial Records Coordinator GHBC Charlotte, NC 28217 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the bookkeeping functions of our organization, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting various accounting processes. Duties Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Process journal entries and manage debits and credits in the accounting system. Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of transactions. Utilize accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, for daily bookkeeping tasks. Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and reports. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial statements and reports. Assist in governmental accounting tasks as required by regulatory standards. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for easy retrieval. Experience Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred, particularly in governmental accounting settings. Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks, is highly desirable. Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, debits and credits. Familiarity with budgeting processes and general accounting principles is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
