This position is on-site 4 days per week, with one day per week being remote. The Accountant will be responsible for one or more specific areas such as bank reconciliation and daily postings, plus work with our external payroll processor on bi-weekly payroll runs and everything that comes with that. Daily duties may include bank reconciliation, expense reports, travel, office administration, credit cards, as well as some A/P and A/R. This role will also support the Finance Director with cost controlling, group reporting analysis, as well as budgeting. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant will have 24/7 support, but must be able to run the day-to-day work and reports independently. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced and somewhat chaotic business environment, as well as the ability to handle constant change.
Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
Support finance team and Finance Director on the following: Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Support day-to-day accounting department tasks within the department. Create synergies and foster positive communication between all departments within the company. Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data. Assist in the company’s financial audits. Following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives. Making recommendations to Finance director Responsible for compliance and coordinating with external business partners (business taxes, census reporting, withholding tax notices, business personal property tax etc.) Must have continued improvement mindset to drive efficiency gains within own role as well as entire finance department.
Education and Industry Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree required 3-5 years relevant experience Experience setting up accounting systems, processes, and procedures Experience working in an international group setting and matrix organization Experience with D365 Business Central (Microsoft ERP System) a plus!
