Job Description
Fred Smith Company is currently searching for an Accounts Payable Administrator for our Accounting Team. We are a heavy civil contractor working in the commercial site work, public infrastructure and asphalt markets in North Carolina. The A/P Administrator will perform duties to support the Company’s Accounting team in cash management. This position reports to the Treasury Accounting Manager while working alongside the project accountants and project team members. This position requires an individual work well in a team setting as well demonstrate the ability to work independently. Good judgement and attention to detail are required in all routine duties and any other task assigned.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain accounts and relationships with new and existing vendors Review digital invoices from vendor/subcontractor and route to project managers via accounts payable approval system Reconcile monthly vendor statements Routinely monitor AP invoices in process for needed issue resolution Assist with external audit requests as needed Provide support for additional AP processes as assigned Perform ad hoc tasks and reporting as assigned Provide team coverage as requested

Required Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting/financial background is preferred) Zero (0)
