Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and has a strong aptitude for managing financial transactions. The role involves full-cycle accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process and code invoices accurately while ensuring they are assigned to the correct accounts and jobs.
- Organize and manage incoming mail, including sorting invoices in numerical order and preparing them for processing.
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including check runs and reconciling payments.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system.
- Support purchasing activities by ensuring proper documentation and coding.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and move towards a more paperless workflow.
- Monitor aging reports and address pending issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while handling financial data.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in managing full-cycle accounts payable processes, including coding and check runs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for handling invoices and financial records.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar financial systems.
- Competence in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to follow step-by-step process manuals and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and resolve discrepancies.
