Accounts Payable Clerk Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a contract position requiring 100% onsite work in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and alignment with company policies.
• Reconcile account discrepancies and resolve any payment issues with vendors.
• Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers.
• Input and maintain accurate financial data in the accounting system.
• Review and validate documentation for accounts payable transactions.
• Assist in month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to address inquiries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Support the team with ad hoc clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for auditing purposes. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong skills in invoice processing, coding, and data entry.
• Ability to conduct account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of check runs and other payment processing procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues.
