NCBCE focuses on bridging the gap between the business community and the state’s education system. The NCBCE is involved in various initiatives, including promoting work-based learning opportunities for students and supporting professional development for educators. NCBCE also facilitates connections between businesses and schools to align curriculum with workforce needs. The NCBCE is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the NCBCE. The Executive Assistant must be able to anticipate needs, manage shifting priorities, and interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The role requires being highly organized, self-motivated, and demonstrating strong follow-through. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Management prefers the candidate: Experience with QuickBooks Familiarity with Canva design tools Previous experience in an administrative support role Background in education or nonprofit sector Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate’s degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
