Keller & Associates Inc., a company in Manchester, NH that provides business services to a small group of manufacturing companies, is looking for an Accounting Clerk. Your primary role is to provide administrative support to various departments within the organization, while simultaneously managing day-to-day accounting tasks.
Administrative Responsibilities Include:
Manage and maintain executive schedules, including appointments, travel arrangements, expense reports and events. Coordinate communication between departments, including emails, memos, and calls. Assist with office management tasks, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records, and handling mail. Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for Senior Level Management.
Accounting Responsibilities Include:
Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, matching them with purchase orders, and processing payments. Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts. Perform data entry of financial transactions into the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper filing of documents. Assist with bank reconciliations and maintain updated records of account balances. Prepare and process journal entries as required. Provide support during month-end closing procedures. Generate financial reports, statements, and other documents as requested by management or other stakeholders. Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation as needed. Collaborate with other members of the accounting team to maintain smooth and efficient departmental operations. Perform other clerical and administrative duties related to the accounting function as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred. Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a related clerical role. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accounting software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
