$43.9K – $56.2K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Accounts payable Customer service 11+ years Analysis skills Paychex Payroll Senior level Communication skills Full Job Description The (Part-Time) Accounts Payable / Payroll Administrator is responsible for assisting with the accurate administration and accounting for GPD’s payroll as well as accounts payable and assist with Finance/HR projects. This position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff. This PartTime (20hours/week), nonexdempt role is located in Salem, NH and will report to the Controller.
Essential Responsibilities:
Payroll:
Responsible for processing company payroll ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax and benefit withholdings, and align with time and attendance requests. Reviews and validates time records for regulatory and company compliance prior to payroll transmission. Verify work hours, sick time and vacation time for all employees against the timesheet submitted. Review, audit and resolve discrepancies by analyzing information and validate confirmed reports prior to submission of payroll. Ensures Payroll and Tax compliance with all State and Federal agencies, requirements and mandates. Research and set up new states with required state agencies and as it pertains to State withholding, unemployment, sick leave, medical leave, family leave, and worker’s compensation. Enter and maintain employee information into HR/Payroll database for new hires, transfers, changes and terminations. Assure all information is accurate and current. Troubleshoot employee issues as they relate to payroll or payroll related benefits. Generate reports monthly, quarterly or ad hoc reports for senior staff, as needed. Assist HR/Finance with employee onboarding.
Accounts Payable:
Setup new vendors Verify and enter invoices for payment obtaining approvals as needed. Maintaining copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files. Process payments to vendors via ACH, Wire or check. Recording, and reviewing journal entries, creating invoices, and crafting spreadsheets. Prepare annual 1099’s Participate in quarterly and annual audits.
Required Skills:
13 years of Payroll and Accounts Payable experience. Must have strong understanding of multistate payroll taxes at Federal, State and Local levels. Full understanding of all payroll processes and compliance including overtime, garnishments, prevailing wage and taxes. Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential information. Superior attention to detail, highly organized, ability to prioritize, problem solve and solid analytical skills. Ability to review own work for quality and completeness will be key to success. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude are critical. Flexibility and teamoriented; ability to balance multiple priorities. Intermediate Excel skills required. Experience with PayChex or BambooHR is a plus!
