$47.9K – $58.7K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Accounts payable ERP systems 11+ years Microsoft Office Analysis skills Accounting Payroll Senior level Associate’s degree Accounting Full Job Description Accounts Payable Specialist The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate administration and accounting of GPD’s accounts payable. They will also be a backup for accounts receivable and assist with Finance projects. This position requires a high attention to detail, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff. This non-exempt role is located in Salem, NH and will report to the Controller. This role will average 3035 hours/week
Essential Responsibilities:
Documentation of the company’s accounts payables full cycle processes (from purchase orders to invoices, payments and reporting). Post invoices according to company practices; requesting approvals where necessary. Maintain current vendor files files, including name or address changes, mergers, and specific contact instructions of domestic and international vendors. Set up new vendors, sending and receiving necessary forms. Process payments to vendors via ACH, Wire, or check. Respond to all inquiries regarding status of payment. Provide AP related information for the weekly cash flow. Prepare annual 1099s. Participate in quarterly and annual audits. Conduct General Journal Entry postings. Conduct General Leger reconciliations. Backup for Accounts Receivable Projects to assist the controller.
Required Skills:
13 years of Payroll and Accounts Payable experience. Associate degree in accounting preferred. Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential information. Superior attention to detail, highly organized, ability to prioritize, problem solve and solid analytical skills. Flexibility and teamoriented; ability to balance multiple priorities. Evaluate and optimize existing processes and procedures. Possess Company values of honesty, integrity, respect, commitment and open to change while modeling the Company Core Principles in all activities. Intermediate Excel skills required. Experience using ERP corporate level software, working knowledge of VISUAL is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
