Job Description

Seasonal/Summer Accounting Assistant Community Crossroads Atkinson, NH 03811 Community Crossroads is a recognized leader in the state whose mission is to provide excellent services and supports to children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We are looking to add seasonal support to our fiscal department to work between July and the end of August/Labor Day. Accounting students are encouraged to apply! In this position, you will be performing a variety of responsibilities in accordance with GAAP and agency, state and federal regulations. This position involves strong customer service skills along with solid computer experience with a focus on Excel, Access and Quickbooks. This is a fast-paced office that requires an ability to multi-task and organize a variety of functions. Supporting fiscal department in reconciling accounts Helping to obtain individuals employment paystubs from vendor agencies/individuals and reporting to Social Security by the 15th of each month. Assist with reporting required all employment related changes, (i.e.: changes in wages, hours, or status) to the NH Medicaid district office, and Social Security. Assist with reporting required all changes in an individual’s living arraignment (change of address, phone number) to the NH Medicaid district office, and Social Security. Support set up of new clients in Rep-Payee department and complete Redeterminations for NH Medicaid monthly Review individuals Rep-Payee accounts (SSI/APTD) as well as support our senior accountant to monitor for any changes in monthly income or assets. Assist with other duties as needed within the scope of the representative payee and fiscal department. Requirements Working towards or obtained an associates degree in accounting, or related field a plus Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Organize, detail-oriented, and time-management Proficient in clerical tasks with attention to detail.
