Japanese/English Translator/Interpreter (35488-AR) 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Leonia, NJ 07605 An international chemical manufacturing company in Leonia, NJ is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Japanese/English Interpreter/translator to join their team to support the management team.

Responsibilities:

Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during high-level meetings involving the President, CFO, and VP-level executives. Support the President with accurate and timely interpretation in both formal and informal settings. Translate business and financial documents to ensure clear communication across languages. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive executive communications and discussions. Travel domestically and internationally (~20%) to accompany the President and provide interpretation services as needed. Collaborate closely with executive staff to understand and convey nuanced business and financial terminology. Attend daily onsite meetings in Teaneck, with flexibility to adjust schedule based on the President’s travel and interpreter needs.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an interpreter/translator, ideally in a corporate or executive environment. Strong understanding of business and financial terminology and concepts. Ability to perform both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation with high accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. High level of discretion and confidentiality when working with executive-level information. Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically (~20%).

Salary Range:
