Description A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the daily operations of its accounts payable function. Reporting to the Controller, this position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payments, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities + (80%) Perform all daily accounts payable functions and associated payment systems to ensure timely and accurate payments. + (5%) Provide training and support to members on expense management systems; respond to related inquiries. + (5%) Collaborate to improve purchasing practices and promote cost-effective procurement strategies. + (5%) Prepare and file annual 1099 forms. + (5%) Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements + 2-5 years of relevant accounting or accounts payable experience. + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software. + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
