Accounts Payable Clerk Position Available In Morris, New Jersey

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a Contract to permanent position offering flexible hours and a hybrid work arrangement, with two days required in the office and the remainder remote. The role involves managing high-volume invoicing, vendor accounts, and reconciliation processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process a large volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and issue checks to vendors in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication and issue resolution.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and comply with company policies and accounting standards.
• Utilize PeopleSoft software to manage accounts payable processes.
• Generate and analyze reports using Excel to support decision-making and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Address discrepancies and resolve payment issues promptly. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable, including high-volume invoicing.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close and account reconciliation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Previous experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
