Bookkeeper Position Available In Somerset, New Jersey

Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Somerset, New Jersey, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy and efficiency of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoicing and payments.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline bookkeeping operations.
• Support month-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded.
• Enter financial data efficiently and accurately into relevant systems.
• Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient accounting workflows Requirements
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Ability to perform account and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures.
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
