The position will be relocating from the Bronx, NY to Englewood, NJ by early 2026 . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, with a particular focus on ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation across our financial systems, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in Excel, Quick Books, and Sage 300. Responsibilities Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors Monitor and code company credit card transactions for proper categorization and approval. Conduct monthly credit card reconciliation, verifying all transactions Perform full account reconciliations through Quick Books Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and inquiries related to accounts payable Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable Maintain filing system ensuring all job specifications are accessible and in date order Maintain up to date vendor records Generate AP aging report to ensure timely payment cycles and following upon outstanding items Support payroll management functions as needed Skills Proficient in Quick Books, Sage 300, and Excel Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Experience with account reconciliation processes Familiarity with construction accounting principles and practices Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while contributing to a collaborative work environment.
