Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Tonawanda, New York. This is a Contract position with the potential to transition into a long-term role, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and stability within the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions and supporting the smooth operation of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and timely entry into the system.
• Conduct account reconciliation to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and execute check runs to meet payment deadlines.
• Review and code invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and supplier information.
• Manage data entry tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to address payment issues and support financial reporting.
• Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes.
• Assist in improving accounts payable workflows and ensuring adherence to best practices. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Strong skills in invoice processing, coding, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with check runs and data entry processes.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
