Finance and Accounting 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Elizabethtown, NY 12932 The Accounting Clerk is an important part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of community members by assisting low- and moderate-income families with a wide range of housing needs. This is a temporary position for while the current accounting clerk is on maternity leave but could turn into a permanent position for the right person.

Job Requirements Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:

Input and process biweekly payroll and direct deposits in ADP Transfer payroll to the accounting system Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing payroll Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple checking accounts Code invoices, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes and enter into the accounting system Match the corresponding purchase orders and shipping confirmations to invoices Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices Prepare weekly check runs, process checks, and send to vendors File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience working in an accounting office Ability to understand and follow instructions Ability to accurately complete bank reconciliations Ability to make mathematical computations with speed and accuracy. Ability to operate in a modern office environment using a computer, a copier, a scanner, and a server Experience using QuickBooks or related accounting software

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with non-profit fund accounting Experience with Abila MIP or equivalent non-profit accounting software

Pay:

$22 hourly

Schedule:

Monday-Friday- 8:30am-4:30pm (35 hour work week)
