We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll / AR Specialist to join the accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is interested in expanding their skill set into accounts receivable — we’re willing to train the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:
Handle end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees +
Compliance:
Ensure payroll compliance with company policies and government regulations +
System Use:
Utilize payroll software (Paylocity experience strongly preferred) for processing and reporting +
Employee Support:
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner + Accounts Receivable (Training Provided): + Assist with invoicing, customer billing, and payment processing + Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts For immediate, confidential consideration apply or contact Hannah Savage with Robert Half’s Rochester, NY branch today!
Requirements Experience:
Prior experience in payroll is required (2+ years preferred)
Software:
Experience with Paylocity is a major plus
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Learning Mindset:
Willingness to be trained on AR responsibilities, previous experience with AR a huge plus!
Industry Background:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
